Durable Shaft Sealing Solution
The Pegasus seal is built to meet modern, high-quality marine standards. Suitable for shaft diameters from 50 mm to 240 mm (2" to 9"), the seal offers excellent tolerance for both axial and radial movements, ensuring dependable performance even in demanding conditions.
The housing is typically made from seawater-resistant bronze for maximum durability, with an optional aluminum version available. The Pegasus seal comes in two variants: Standard, supplied without a wearing liner, and Deluxe, which includes one for extended service life. Both versions can be fitted with a buffer ring and/or Standby Seal, depending on installation needs. The buffer ring stabilizes the shaft and prevents uncontrolled movements that could cause leakage—especially important when no bearing is placed immediately behind the seal.
Reliable, Certified Shaft Sealing with Emergency and Split Options
For extra security, the optional Standby Seal provides an emergency closing system.
For installations where disassembly is difficult, split seals are available. These eliminate the need to pull the propeller shaft to replace sealing components, reducing downtime and simplifying service.
Fully certified and approved by all major classification societies, the Pegasus seal provides a strong, versatile, and easy-to-maintain solution for vessels that require reliable shaft sealing.
